Demonic Blade . "Edmund"
The Demonic Sword Artisan originally intended to craft a sword-shaped staff, but a misstep resulted in a small-handled demonic blade.
These two forms are distinctly different.
Therefore, while the object itself is without flaw, the artisan was dissatisfied with this lapse in intention and focus, which is reflected in the price.
Multiple photographs are available for reference.
The Demonic Sword Artisan paused work for three weeks to investigate factors related to sleep apnea.
Upon returning to his craft, his state of mind and dexterity may have temporarily declined due to the intervening distress.
This led to his habitual experience overriding his intention, where his hands acted more than his heart, resulting in the creation of a slender-bladed demonic blade instead of the intended sword-shaped staff.
The above is a reflection and a note on the crafting process.
Although the price is set lower, there are no issues with the form or tempering of the demonic blade itself. For someone who happens to appreciate this particular form, it might be a blessing in disguise, a matter of serendipity.
Under normal circumstances in the future, given its size and form, it is unlikely that a piece of this shape will be offered at a price lower than "Edmund's" supply price, let alone one made from Green Sandalwood.
Blade Material: Green Sandalwood (Jade Sandalwood)
Total Length: 39.1 cm
Green Sandalwood is one of the world's heaviest woods, known for its rich oil content.
It turns from yellow to green when exposed to sunlight, emitting a fragrance. Also known as Jade Sandalwood.
Grows in extreme climates, ranging from below zero to 40 degrees Celsius depending on the season.
Currently a rare material, facing the threat of endangerment, and its export is restricted by Paraguay.
When working with Green Sandalwood for demonic swords, it is often necessary to intentionally carve out some material to control its weight, as it can be quite heavy.
This helps to achieve a more balanced feel. Due to its hardness, the crafting process is slower and more demanding on tools.
If left out of sunlight for extended periods, its color will revert from green to yellow. Exposure to sunlight for about 20 minutes will restore its green hue.
Staff Material: Green Sandalwood (Jade Sandalwood), with a natural fragrance.
Occasionally, it can be lightly polished with fine-grit sandpaper for a lustrous finish.
If left in darkness for too long and its color fades from green, exposing it to sunlight will revive its green color. However, be mindful not to forget about it and overexpose it.
Due to its artistic expression, the object has certain sharp edges. Please handle and store it with care.
