This wheel-thrown tea pourer was made in my small pottery workshop here in Taiwan. My workshop overlooks the Yamingshan mountain which is a constant source of inspiration.
This pot was made from local Taiwanese clay and then my original glaze was applied. This pot was wood-fired for 4 days. The natural wood ash and glaze mixed well together to create a one-off piece.
While trimming I added some fluted lines to give the pot a nice feel when you hold it. I believe a handmade pot needs to show the hand of the maker. It is this connection that makes a handmade item unique.
My seal is stamped at the base of this chahai.
Be the owner of a handmade chahai made from the beautiful island of Taiwan.
Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about my work.
