**/ What is Macrame /**
Macrame is an art form that uses only your hands to freely weave cords into beautiful patterns, without the need for crochet hooks, knitting needles, or looms.
Macrame originated in the 13th century from the Arabic word "migramah," meaning "weaver." Back then, it referred to decorative textiles worn by camels and horses, not only for aesthetics but also to keep bothersome insects away. The Moors later introduced Macrame to France, from where it spread throughout Europe. It was brought to England in the late 17th century and became immensely popular during the Victorian era, primarily for home decor.
