**Guardian Buddha**
"Guardian Buddha" refers to the "Eight Great Bodhisattvas".
In Chinese Buddhism, according to the Mahāratnakūṭa Sūtra, the Twelve Zodiac animals are manifestations of Bodhisattvas. When the world was first formed and humanity was born, they transformed into twelve divine beasts, each guarding one of the four cardinal directions (South: Snake, Horse, Goat; West: Monkey, Rooster, Dog; North: Pig, Rat, Ox; East: Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon), protecting and enlightening all beings. This aligns perfectly with the Chinese zodiac, starting with the Rat. These twelve divine beasts take turns diligently guarding sentient beings day and night, corresponding to the twelve double-hours, twelve months, and twelve-year cycle of the Chinese zodiac.
Wearing a Guardian Buddha is about cultivating a respectful and devout heart. Minor daily activities like eating, sleeping, using the restroom, or bathing are not matters of concern. Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are free from attachment and view all beings with inherent equality and goodness; they do not dwell on punishing individuals for everyday life activities such as bathing or using the restroom. The Dharma is not separate from worldly affairs.
The Guardian Buddha (Protector) corresponding to each Zodiac animal:
1. Zodiac "Rat": Thousand-armed Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva
2. Zodiac "Ox and Tiger": Akāśagarbha Bodhisattva
3. Zodiac "Rabbit": Mañjuśrī Bodhisattva
4. Zodiac "Dragon and Snake": Samantabhadra Bodhisattva
5. Zodiac "Horse": Mahāsthāmaprāpta Bodhisattva
6. Zodiac "Goat and Monkey": Vairocana Buddha
7. Zodiac "Rooster": Acalanatha Bodhisattva
8. Zodiac "Dog and Pig": Amitābha Buddha
Brief Introduction to the Twelve Guardian Buddhas (Protectors):
1. "Thousand-armed Avalokiteśvara" symbolizes great compassion. With a thousand arms holding various implements, it protects one from all difficulties and eliminates all ailments.
2. "Akāśagarbha Bodhisattva" is a symbol of honesty and wealth. In his left hand, he holds a lotus, symbolizing blossoming prosperity and a happy, fulfilling life.
3. "Mañjuśrī Bodhisattva" symbolizes great wisdom, capable of enhancing intelligence and improving comprehension. In his left hand, Mañjuśrī holds a wish-fulfilling scepter, representing the fulfillment of all desires.
4. "Samantabhadra Bodhisattva" is a symbol of virtue and great vows. In his right hand, he wields an implement to subdue demons, and his mount is an elephant, symbolizing auspiciousness. He removes obstacles caused by petty individuals and enhances the authority of leaders.
5. "Mahāsthāmaprāpta Bodhisattva" holds a pure vase, symbolizing a stable and smooth life. Mahāsthāmaprāpta Bodhisattva is considered foremost in radiance and wisdom; his presence causes the heavens and earth to tremble, protecting beings from harm by evil spirits.
6. "Vairocana Buddha" symbolizes radiant wisdom and reason. In his left hand, he holds prayer beads, representing perfection and bringing forth radiant wisdom, warding off evil spirits. He enables people to connect with the spiritual energy of heaven and earth, draw the essence of all things, and move forward with courage, light, and happiness.
7. "Acalanatha Bodhisattva" is the foremost of the Eight Great Guardian Buddhas, symbolizing rationality. He wields a demon-subduing rod in his right hand and has a fierce expression, causing evil spirits to fear and flee. He dispels all difficulties and remains unshaken by adversity.
8. "Amitābha Buddha" holds a treasure ingot in his left hand, signifying the attraction of wealth and treasures. Amitābha Buddha represents immeasurable light and boundless lifespan, guarding people with heavenly wisdom and freeing them from afflictions.
**Agate**
Agate, also known as "Yu Suo," is primarily composed of silicon dioxide from volcanic eruptions. It is a relatively abundant gemstone on Earth, making it one of the oldest gemstones in history.
When molten silicon dioxide from volcanic eruptions enters the pores or fissures of volcanic rock, it deposits layer by layer, forming concentric circles or bands. These can be opaque, translucent, or transparent. Such formations are called "banded agate" (finely layered bands are even called "silk agate"). Those with dot-like distributions resemble snowflakes and are commonly known as "sakura agate."
Agate is composed of various colors (mineral colors) and may form in concentric circles, wavy patterns, layers, or parallel bands, hence the saying, "A thousand types of agate, ten thousand kinds of jade."
Agate symbolizes stable energy, capable of calming emotions, soothing anxiety, enhancing vitality and vigor, strengthening personal aura and magnetic field, attracting positive energy and good fortune, boosting luck, and further enhancing creativity and inspiration, leading to a surge of ideas during the creative process.
Due to its wide range of colors, agate can correspond to the seven chakras of the human body, making it a precious and beautiful gem with both historical value and functional properties.
**Peace Buckle**
Since the Shang and Zhou dynasties, Chinese people have attached buttons to the clothes of newborns and young children, praying for their safe and healthy growth. Later, buttons evolved into various materials, but they retained the auspicious meaning of peace, gradually being called "Peace Buckles."
In terms of appearance, a Peace Buckle has an inner and outer circle. The outer circle symbolizes the vastness of heaven and earth, while the inner circle symbolizes the peace and tranquility of our inner heart. It carries the full hope of wearing peace and happiness.
Furthermore, the design of a Peace Buckle is similar to that of an ancient coin, hence sometimes a Peace Buckle is referred to as an ancient coin, and an ancient coin is also sometimes called a Peace Buckle.
**Pixiu**
Legend has it that Pixiu is the son of the dragon, with a lion's head, horns on its head, and a beast-like body. It feeds on money and evil spirits and only consumes, never expels. Therefore, Pixiu possesses the functions of "attracting wealth" and "warding off evil."
In ancient times, Pixiu were quite formidable beasts! In modern times, to better suit public sentiment, plump and prosperous-looking Pixiu appear as if they have eaten their fill of wealth, looking more comforting and adorable.

**◈ About Use and Collection**
1. Natural gemstones possess their own natural luster and unique textures (tiny black spots, stone lines, internal fractures, cloudiness, mineral deficiencies, asymmetry, and other natural details). By wearing them frequently, you can observe subtle color changes in the natural gemstones, which will often make them appear more translucent and captivating. This is also the best method of care.
Natural organic gemstones (such as coral, amber, pearls, and giant clamshell) have low hardness and are not resistant to acids or alkalis. When they become dirty, avoid washing them with detergents. Simply rinse with clean water and wipe with a soft cloth. You can also lightly brush them with a soft brush dipped in a small amount of mineral oil (such as baby oil) for maintenance.
2. Metal jewelry has a very long lifespan. Avoid external damage or strong acids and alkalis that can cause fading.
3. Fabric materials (ribbon, cotton, gauze) are soft and comfortable to the touch and have a long lifespan. Avoid high temperatures, external damage, or strong acids and alkalis that can cause fading.
4. For jewelry of any material, when it becomes dirty, it is advisable to wipe it with a soft cloth dipped in clean water as appropriate, or use an appropriate amount of neutral detergent for suitable materials. After washing, keep it dry as soon as possible.
5. When jewelry is removed, it should be properly packaged and stored to block excess air and slow down oxidation and discoloration. Avoid overlapping or pressing.
