mashu is the original brand of furoshiki from Kyoto's Baba Dyeing Studio. Established in Fushimi, Kyoto, in the second year of the Taisho era (1913), even a century later, all products are still meticulously hand-dyed by artisans using traditional kata-e-zome (stencil dyeing) techniques.
