Mola Mola Canvas Tote Bag (Charms and badges not included)
The Mola Mola, also known as the ocean sunfish, is a fish that absolutely loves basking in the sun. Taiwanese fishermen often call it the "tipping fish" because they frequently see it "tipping over" on the sea's surface.
Some people in Taiwan also refer to them as "stinging fish" because they enjoy eating jellyfish (jellyfish = sting).
Spaniards call them "Mola Mola" (grindstone) because their appearance, lying on the surface to sunbathe, resembles a grindstone.
Romantic French people call them "moonfish," perhaps because when they lie on the surface at night, reflecting moonlight, their round, large form looks like a moon in the sea!
Americans call them "sunfish" because they adore sunbathing.
Japanese people call them "Mambo fish" because their swimming motion resembles dancing the mambo.
The coolest are the Germans. With their short tails, plump bodies, large eyes, and puckered mouths, Mola Molas look like cartoon characters, so they call them "swimming heads."
