| Purchase Notes |
1. To be environmentally friendly and avoid excessive packaging, we utilize recycled cardboard boxes or packing materials, ensuring secure delivery for your items.
2. The ceramic materials used in this studio are all lead-free glazes, fired at temperatures exceeding 1200°C, making them safe and non-toxic for your peace of mind.
3. During the firing process, glaze variations such as crackling, crazing, glaze crawling, or minor pinholes are considered normal characteristics.
4. Product images are captured in natural light, and we strive to adjust them to minimize discrepancies between the photos and the actual glaze colors. However, please note that variations may occur due to differences in screen color settings across devices. The actual product color prevails.
5. Each piece is handcrafted, resulting in slight variations in dimensions. The clay and glaze colors may differ due to atmospheric conditions and temperature fluctuations within the kiln, adding to the unique charm and character of handmade ceramics. Those with a preference for absolute perfection are advised to review the product details carefully before making a purchase.
| Pre-use Care & Maintenance |
1. It is not recommended to use earthenware in electric steamers, microwaves, ovens, or for direct heat exposure. Avoid sudden temperature changes (rapid heating or cooling) to prevent cracking or damage, unless the piece is specifically made from heat-resistant clay (e.g., sandpot clay).
2. If the ceramic ware is intended for use as tableware, please rinse and clean any surface dirt before the first use. For cleaning, use a sponge or soft scrubber with a mild dish soap. Avoid abrasive materials like steel wool, as they can scratch the surface. Afterward, wipe dry with a cloth and air dry in a well-ventilated area to prevent mold.
3. Hot water and food can be safely used. The glaze surface will gradually develop fine crackles upon heating and cooling, which is a normal phenomenon. Each mark of use will be absorbed by the pottery, imbuing it with the warmth of your daily life over time.
4. Matte glazes tend to show tea stains and marks from dark-colored foods more readily than glossy glazes. Tea and coffee stains may also accumulate in the crackled areas of the glaze, serving as a record of use. These can be removed using baking soda, citric acid, or magic sponges. To minimize residue, soak the item in water or wash it immediately after use.
5. Should you have any questions or wish to inquire about further details, please feel free to use the in-app contact feature to message the designer, or search for "日常陶皿" (Ri Chang Tao She) on FB and IG for contact. We will respond as promptly as possible.
