Burmese Copper Alloy Pagoda Amulet Bead Bracelet
Relic of the Pagoda × Protective Energy ✨
The main bead is solid cast from copper alloy, estimated to be from the 19th-20th century. The surface has been cleaned of oxidation, revealing a bright yellow metallic luster. It will naturally oxidize again if not polished.
Accompanying the main bead are 12 amulet beads unearthed from a collapsed pagoda in Mandalay, each approximately 1.1–1.2 cm in diameter, estimated to be from the 18th-19th century. Originally part of a 108-bead mala offered as a tribute within the pagoda, they were scattered due to breakage in the damp environment of the pagoda's藏 (zàng - hidden chamber/reliquary). They have since been collected by antique dealers and circulated to this day.
The alloy has a low gold content and cinnabar was added during the smelting process, imbuing it with strong magnetic energy. Traditionally used for creating sacred spaces and protection, it can now also be placed in a home altar, car, or used for spiritual practices.
Bracelet wrist circumference is approximately 16 cm. It possesses both historical value and spiritual blessings.
