BIOTAR is a standard coated lens with springblend aperture designed at East Germany (DDR) for SLR 35 mm cameras with popular M42 lens mount: Praktica, Pentax, Zeiss Ikon, Contax, Topcon . In the main, most all Carl Zeiss Jena lenses are exceptionally good and this one is no exception! It can be used with a lot of digital Micro 4/3 cameras with simple and inxpensive adapter. ITEM'S CONDITION: EXCELLENT+++++ The glass is clean, with no any scratches, separations or fungus. Focusing and aperture are smooth. Aperture leafs are clean and don't show oil signs. Cosmetically lens looks very nice... just examine item's photos please. All functions are available. TECHNICAL FEATURES * Focus: 58 mm. * Aperture: from 2 up to 22 (without clicks or with the special "memory"). The aperture ring allows to "remember" pre-installed aperture's meaning. This function is activated with the single aperture ring, You just have to press it and the aperture will fixed. * Aperture have 12 blades which provides very accurate aperture shape. * The optics is single-coated, with T index. * Mounting M42 x 1mm groove, known as Pentax Thread Mount, same with a lot of old SLR cameras (Practica, Chinon, Yashika, Bessaflex etc). * Mounting for different modern SLR & dSLR cameras will not bring any trouble with well-spread M42 adapters. * The lens is well-applicable for digital cameras with Micro 4/3 system and other with working distance 45.5mm and less, with the use of adapters: All Sony NEX, Olympus, Panasonic: Lumix DMC-G1, DMC-GH1, DMC-GF1, DMC-G2, DMC-G10, Epson, Samsung and other. * Focusing: from 0.9m. * Filter mount M 49 x 0.75 mm. * Pretty in using. * White (silver) body coating.
