From the high-altitude Black Forest tea region of Lishan, Kumy Tea Garden crafts this Jasmine Black Tea with time, patience, and care.
The tea leaves are sourced from a single cultivar grown at 2,200 meters above sea level, from a single estate within the Black Forest tea area. The dramatic day–night temperature differences of the high mountains create a tea body that is both full and refined. The black tea itself is naturally mellow and sweet, forming a gentle and stable foundation for the jasmine fragrance.
The jasmine blossoms are carefully selected fresh from Huatan, Changhua. Using traditional scenting methods, the tea leaves are layered and scented repeatedly with jasmine flowers, allowing the floral aroma to naturally infuse into the tea. After each scenting process, every jasmine blossom is meticulously removed by hand, leaving no residual flowers behind. This ensures a clear, pure liquor that carries only a delicate, restrained floral fragrance.
Once brewed, the tea reveals a soft and refreshing progression of flavors. A light, natural jasmine aroma appears first, followed by the rounded sweetness and smooth texture characteristic of high-quality black tea. The tea and floral notes complement one another seamlessly, resulting in a clean, silky, and pleasantly sweet finish that remains enjoyable cup after cup.
This is not a jasmine tea defined by intensity, but one that emphasizes balance, natural expression, and craftsmanship. A high-mountain jasmine black tea suited for quiet moments of reflection, and an elegant choice for gifting—conveying the gentleness and purity of Lishan’s elevated landscape.
