With the flower and the stem apart, you can choose the height and colors as you like. The red spider lily, also called manjushage, is made as two stamps: one for the flower and one for the stem. Even the thin, thread-like lines of the stamens and pistil are carved by hand, one by one. Since the flower and the stem are separate, you can show a long, straight stem or just scatter the flowers. Stamp them at slightly different angles and layer them for the depth of a cluster blooming along a field path. Stamp the flower in crimson and the stem in light green for a two-color print from one set. Use a single flower in the corner of a card, or line up a few on the corner of an envelope. Combine it with our "Large Red Spider Lily Set", whose flower is about twice as wide, for a sense of near and far on your page.
