Hualien’s Dachen First Village preserves the treasured memories of the Dachen people who migrated to Taiwan. Inside the Dachen Story House, photographs and artifacts record the daily lives and customs of the 1950s, reflecting the resilience of a community shaped by war and displacement.
Walking through the village, you’ll still find the original houses standing quietly in place—each carrying traces of time and the stories of the families who lived within. At the heart of the settlement stands Taiwan’s only temple dedicated to Ruan Bi Zhenjun（阮弼真君）, continuing to safeguard the community’s spiritual roots and cultural identity.

**Registration Notes**
● A pre-departure notice will be sent one week before the event. If you do not receive it, please check your spam or promotions folder.
● Please arrive at the designated meeting point (Dachen Story House) 10 minutes before the tour begins. Late arrivals will not be waited for in order to keep the tour on schedule.
● The tour includes outdoor walking. Please bring appropriate items such as rain gear and sun protection according to the weather.
● We encourage you to bring your own utensils and water bottle to support our low-carbon, eco-friendly tour!
**Cancellation Policy**
● For cancellations made 31 days or more before the tour date, a 10% handling fee of the total tour price will be charged.
● For cancellations made 21–30 days before the tour date, a 20% handling fee will be charged.
● For cancellations made 2–20 days before the tour date, a 30% handling fee will be charged.
● For cancellations made 1 day before the tour date, a 50% handling fee will be charged.
● No refunds will be given for same-day cancellations, late arrival at the meeting point, leaving the group without notice, or failure to attend for personal reasons.
● In the case of typhoons, heavy rain, or other force majeure events, the organizer reserves the right to cancel the activity for safety reasons.
