【Heping District Farmers' Association】
One of the most renowned landmarks along Taiwan's Central Cross-Island Highway is the Lishan Guest House, built in 1965. During his visits, Chiang Kai-shek frequently stayed here. Due to the cold climate at an altitude of over 2000 meters, local residents would prepare a pot of Lishan Oolong tea for President Chiang. From then on, Lishan tea gained widespread fame. Coupled with its limited cultivation area in the early days, it was exceptionally difficult to obtain, leading some to call it "official tea," implying it was a beverage reserved for officials. The Lishan region is perpetually shrouded in clouds and mist, experiencing extreme temperature differences between day and night. The tea leaves are thick, and the tea gardens are surrounded by numerous high-altitude pear orchards, allowing the tea to absorb the pear's aroma. The fragrance is delicate and elegant, the taste is sweet and mellow, the tea liquor is a vibrant green-yellow, and it is resistant to repeated infusions, making it an ideal gift.

Bathed in year-round mist, the soil is rich in organic matter. The leaves are plump, full-bodied, tender, and high in pectin content. Cultivated under ideal natural conditions of climate and soil, the tea produced has a clear and transparent liquor, a sweet and mellow taste, and an exceptional lingering aftertaste, earning it the reputation of being the "pinnacle of teas."
