■About Rainbow Crystal
Stone meanings: Hope, Goal, Joy
Iris quartz is a natural stone where rainbow-colored brilliance can be seen as light reflects off the fine internal cracks within the crystal. Also known as "Rainbow Quartz," its name originates from "Iris," the Greek goddess of the rainbow. This rainbow-colored brilliance is called "iridescence" and shows various expressions depending on the viewing angle and how light hits it.
■About Larimar/Pectolite
Stone meanings: Love and Peace
This refers to pectolite, particularly those with a blue hue.
Discovered in 1974, its beautiful sea-like color drew attention to pectolite, which had not previously been valued as a gemstone. Mining is exclusively conducted at the Paují mine in the Dominican Republic. Larimar's mysterious blue color is said to be due to copper impurities. The name "Larimar" is a combination of "Larissa," the daughter of Miguel, one of the discoverers, and "Mar," the Spanish word for sea.
■About Kyanite
Stone meanings: Independence, Exploration, Purity, Judgment
Its Japanese name is 藍晶石 (ranshouseki). It belongs to the same group as andalusite and sillimanite.
It is also called disthene due to its strong vertical striations in columnar crystals. Its name is derived from the Greek word 'kyanos,' meaning dark blue.
