Japanese indigo (Persicaria tinctoria) is an annual herbaceous plant of the Polygonaceae family, primarily used for dyeing, from which indigo dyeing gets its name. Indigo dyeing is a type of plant dyeing. Through multiple immersions and various unpredictable factors, it produces wonderful color gradients and textures. Upon initial washing, there may be slight fading, but this is akin to colors mellowed by time, possessing a natural, tranquil, and lived-in quality. **> Care Instructions** 1 Traditional plant-dyed items have undergone water washing and color fixing treatment. Due to the nature of hand-dyeing, color variations are irregular and uneven; each product will have slight differences, please be aware! 2 Plant-dyed items are resistant to dirt and sweat. If soiled, you may clean the affected area locally. They can also be washed in cold water, without soaking, and should not be wrung forcefully. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight; hang to dry in a cool, ventilated area. 3 You can wear them daily for washing and exercise without needing to remove them. Considering that cotton fabric takes time to dry when wet, which can affect the item's lifespan, wearing them while bathing is not recommended. **The purer the indigo dye, the less colorfast it will be due to the absence of chemical fixing agents.
