This is a marquetry necklace, a collaboration with Shokayo kiln of Hoshoji-yaki pottery.
It was made by repurposing pieces that couldn't be used for pottery during the kiln firing process.
With a deep appreciation for wood, we've used timber from demolished houses and scraps from construction sites, creating geometric patterns that highlight the natural texture of the wood.
The finish is achieved with a 100% natural wax blend of beeswax and plant-derived oils.
Care Instructions
If the luster fades or scratches become noticeable, apply a plant-based oil such as olive oil or camellia oil, then wipe with a dry cloth to restore its sheen.
Wood Types: Crafted using available materials such as cherry, chestnut, cypress, beech, oak, cedar, birch, ebony, and more.
Metal Fittings: 14k gold-filled
*Please note that variations in color and wood type may occur between pieces.
