Wood-Fired Large Teapot / 750cc Large Pot / Xiao Ping Fan Handmade - Teapots & Teacups - Pottery

Product Description

©️ Wood-Fired Large Teapot ©️ A generous 750cc capacity, this teapot boasts a distinctive design, making it a sophisticated statement piece for any dining table. Perfect for brewing tea, serving water, infusing herbal teas, or sharing beverages with friends and family, it caters to every need. Its unique form is not only practical but also elevates everyday moments with a touch of ritual. A previous collector once shared that their favorite moments were weekend afternoons, placing this large teapot on the table, the aroma of tea filling the air, while children did their homework nearby, and they slowly poured tea for themselves, feeling as if life had indeed slowed down. 😃 Life doesn't need to be complicated; a teapot and a cup of tea embody a certain taste. Living mindfully is, in itself, the most beautiful scenery. Capacity: 750cc In the 2023 5th Shanghai International Wood Firing Ceramics Competition, both artists from Xiao Ping Fan Pottery Studio, Chen Shiping and Wang Yufan, had their works selected for excellence awards. Your support is our motivation to continue creating. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53341561855_249c0591a6_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53341437984_c608c50771_c.jpg 2023 Media Interview: A Comprehensive Record of Xiao Ping Fan Art's Lean Startup Journey https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53341329978_bb6984d457_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53341561785_f553253a82_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53341329968_8834731df8_c.jpg The works from Xiao Ping Fan Pottery Studio do not pursue mass production. Each creation possesses a unique concept and design, imbuing the process of pure hand-pinching or wheel throwing with life. Every piece is one of a kind. Our studio's works are created collaboratively by my husband and I, hence the signatures "Ping" or "Fan." Some pieces also bear the "Xiao Ping Fan Pottery Studio" seal, making them truly unique!! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51567264550_68d52fdae8_b.jpg **1. What is the origin of the works?** We primarily use American clay, Japanese clay, and Taiwanese Miaoli clay for our creations. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51567015014_0b15931da0_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51565549942_7663197885_h.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51567015039_4c2a9b80e3_c.jpg **2. What is the wood-firing process?** American clay, Japanese clay, and Miaoli clay are mixed in different proportions. The creation process involves pure hand-pinching (not on a potter's wheel) to gradually form the shape. After basic shaping, the lines of the body are refined, followed by polishing to complete the greenware. Once placed in the kiln, the wood-firing process using natural longan and acacia wood lasts for five days and four nights continuously. The temperature reaches over 1200 degrees Celsius. During this time, natural ash deposits adhere to the works, forming a unique ash glaze. Simultaneously, the kiln's flames flow between the pieces, creating beautiful orange-red or blue-purple flame patterns. After five days and four nights of ash and flame interaction, a week of cooling is required before a piece achieves its beautiful form! As the kiln atmosphere differs with each wood-firing, the ash deposits and flame patterns on each work are unique, making every piece truly one of a kind! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51567015104_1eec785177_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51567264535_7bd0037e60_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51565533012_fdce6d65a3_h.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51566346721_2b98f539f8_c.jpg **3. What should our esteemed guests be aware of?** Product colors may vary slightly due to photographic lighting. As the works are purely handmade, they will inevitably bear the marks of the crafting process. Minor variations may also occur during firing, such as slight imperfections in the rim or small production scratches, which are considered normal and do not affect usability. We appreciate your understanding! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51565533097_13ea71a377_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51565533012_219eca4133_c.jpg **4.
