This original key case is made from "Rugato," a premium leather renowned as the "jewel of leather" for its exquisite luster and color. The concho adorning the front is a genuine coin, engraved with the portrait of the British Queen. For the key attachment hardware, we've selected a unique, substantial type that allows for easy one-touch attachment and removal of keys. All metal fittings, including the snaps and rivets, are unified in brass. Like the leather, they will develop a deeper, more profound patina with age and continued use. The stitching is done with "sinew," traditionally made from animal tendons. The artisan carefully tears the sinew to the required length by hand before stitching. This key case features spaces for cards on the left and center when opened, and a small pocket on the right, suitable for holding a coin. Even the less visible areas, such as the back of the pockets and the reverse side of the leather, are hand-dyed. It will be placed on the lower left side inside the key case. The font is a serif typeface in the alphabet, with options for uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and numbers. (Each character is approximately 5mm in size.) Approximately 6 characters can be engraved in uppercase only. Approximately 13 characters can be engraved in lowercase only. All keys are locked and unlocked simultaneously, so please do not operate the mechanism while holding the main body upside down. Depending on the keys you use, you may need to attach a small ring called a "marukan" (jump ring) to your keys before attaching them to the key hardware of this product. (Jump rings are included.) <About Leather Product Care> The products handled in our workshop are made from natural leather. Please be aware that getting the leather wet may cause water stains. (Using a leather-specific protective spray before use can be effective for stain and water resistance.) If you feel the leather has lost some of its oil after prolonged use, lightly apply a small amount of leather cream to a soft cloth and gently blend it over the entire surface to restore its color and luster. <About the Leather's Character> "Suage" leather is characterized by its very natural texture, as it is not surface-treated with pigments or other coatings. Because the original surface condition is not masked by any coating, the surface displays various characteristics such as natural scratches, wrinkles, blood vessel marks, variations in color density, and brand marks (fire stamps) – these are the "living proof" that tell the story of the animal's past. Like human skin, it is not a perfect, uniform surface, and no two pieces are exactly alike.
