【Brand Story】
Hengchun County Chronicle records that port tea originated from the first Hengchun County magistrate (county lord) Zhou Youji during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty. He loved drinking tea, so Mr. Zhu Zhenhuai, the founder of the Shunxing port tea family, took back tea seeds from Wuyi Mountain and traveled across the ocean. At that time, Hengchun The county magistrate specially allocated 10 acres of land specifically for growing tea. It was located on the hillside of Gangkang Village, Manzhou Township, Hengchun Peninsula, the southernmost tip of Taiwan. After more than 100 years, it was named Gangkang Tea. Because the hillside is backed by the northeast monsoon, the soil quality and climate are also different. It is quite special. The taste of the tea produced is completely different from any other tea area in Taiwan. Port tea is known as one of the three specialties of Hengchun, Taiwan. This specialty is also the southernmost tea area in Taiwan. In addition, the fifth generation successor Mr. Zhu Shunxing has inherited it. The secret of making tea according to the ancient method of our ancestors gives it a unique taste such as sweet taste, moist throat, mellow aroma, and resistance to steeping.
