The green of celadon is elegant and subtle, with shades as varied as clouds and mist, and a luster contained within like jade. It is said that the poet-emperor Song Huizong described this color as: "Like the sky after rain, as clouds break apart, create such a color." | About Each Piece | All ceramics from Fu Chang Kiln are handmade, so there may inevitably be slight variations in detail. During the kiln firing process, unpredictable elements like ash deposits or iron spots may form unique patterns, which become the unique mark of each piece. We will provide photos for your confirmation before shipping. | About Fu Chang Kiln's Celadon Crazing | We pursue simplicity, so we intentionally create a single layer of crazing. Visually, after maturation, it will present crackle patterns resembling the shell of a tea-boiled egg. These patterns form as the piece cools in the kiln and will continue to change; they are not fixed. Before maturation, you can use phone light to view the general direction of the crackle. These crackles do not affect functionality. With use, colors will seep into the cracks. Black lines are known as "iron wire patterns," ochre lines are "eel blood patterns," and brown lines are "gold thread lines." Their ever-changing appearance gives each piece a sense of vitality. | Precautions | - Fu Chang Kiln ceramics are fired at a high temperature of 1240 degrees Celsius and can be safely cleaned with a scouring pad or in a dishwasher. (Except for products with wooden handles; wooden items must be kept dry.) - Single-material ceramics can be heated in an oven or electric cooker. - Ceramics are fragile items and will be carefully packaged before shipping. If damaged during transit, please notify us within 3 days of receipt for further processing. - The colors in the photos may differ slightly from the actual product due to lighting, angles, and display methods. Please refer to the actual product. - Wooden plates are shipped randomly. They all have the natural color of the wood without any artificial coloring.
