Exquisite Trifari choker necklace in antique gold color. Book piece from the Goldenbraid collection, that was featured in Trifari advertisement in 1947. In the advertisement the jewelry of this collection is compared to the golden braids of Rapunzel from the fairy tale.
The hidden clasp of the necklace is marked Crown Trifari Des. Pat. Pend., which means that a patent application has been filed for the design of this necklace and bracelet (not available). Patent 148,440 was filed by Trifari Chief designer Alfred Philip on 21 July 1947 and was issued on 20 January 1948.
