Congratulations! The Taiwanese Yokai Atlas is now in its 7th printing, with this final edition featuring a new color—fluorescent pink. Thank you all for your support! ^^
Did you know that mermaids and妖鳥 (bewitched birds) exist in Taiwan?
Did you know there's a giant in Hualien who loves to catch stars?
Beginning in 2012, we have been methodically collecting tales of yokai from ancient legends across Taiwan.
These stories draw from Taiwanese indigenous myths, local folklore, and original concepts by JIAOSI.
This collection culminates in the first dedicated compendium of Taiwanese yokai!
We present the yokai of Taiwan in combination with ancient Taiwanese maps.
Using wood panels as our canvas,
it took two years to complete this illustrated story collection.
