-About the Name ÜRIKMÄD-
ÜRIKMÄD is a coined name inspired by my experience as an illustrator in Germany.
It’s derived from my name, "Yurika Yamada," condensed into German alphabet styling.
One of my favorite aspects of the name is how the "Ü" resembles a smile!
ÜRIKMÄD is the original illustration goods brand created by illustrator Yurika Yamada.

-The Story Behind ÜRIKMÄD-
After graduating from art school with a focus on contemporary art, I began working at a gallery in Tokyo.
Later, I moved to Berlin, where I obtained an artist visa and officially started my career as an illustrator.
The stimulating experiences in Berlin fueled my creative spirit, and I eventually returned to Japan, where I now create original illustrated goods designed to seamlessly blend art into everyday life.

-ÜRIKMÄD’s Philosophy-
The motifs of plants and animals hold a special place in my heart as sources of "healing" and inspiration.
Through my creations, I hope to deliver moments that soothe the soul and bring a gentle smile to your face.
