The nature was more than fascinating to me since childhood. I remembered squatting under the tree, monitoring how the ants moving the food and communicating with each other which the sky gradually got dark without my noticing. When in college, I started do learn how to do leather works with my aunt in “PML studio” for couple of years and through the process I got to know how to see things in various perspectives little by little. In this case, I tried again and again how to enlarge the inner lights and potential of the material via imagination, giving the crafts a second life.

Being curious has always been one of my personalities. I love discover in different realms such as cooking, language learning, foreign cultures, reading, DIY, music, and other knowledge and lots of the ideas of my works were extracted from these involvements.

Metal art creations came to my life one day after 2~3 years of leather making. In the very beginning I started making the crafts with aluminum wire, making them as decorations and later on I made pendants with copper wire and Bismuth crystals. A while back to 2019, a friend of mine shared an beautiful fossil of the ancient trees in the Cretaceous period (65 to over 100 million years ago): amber. What she showed me was the oldest type of amber from Myanmar, Burma, (over 90~120 million years ago), which holds the largest categories and types in amber industry and at the same time the hardest (2.5 mohs scale). Consequently, I got to know colourful crystals with different powers since then and started the journey of SBI.

After the brand started, I moved the hundred-year-old anvil and hammer out from the storage room which it had been slept in for long and I became the third generation of using the tools. They not simply marked patterns for the creations, but through time, based on the copper material, they will be given spirit and unique textures of the owner. They do not show an eternal look, but grow with you.
