Our founder, Yamamoto, first established Shika Leather Workshop in 2012. With the goal of bringing the beauty of the past to the modern day, he began by selling vintage bags and antiques and devoted himself to sourcing leather goods made with high-quality materials and classic designs. In addition to repairing vintage bags, he also started learning to make leather goods himself, so that he would be able to preserve the traditional craftsmanship in the form of new products.

In 2019, Shika Leather Workshop was rebranded as Yamamoto Leather. With traditional techniques as the foundation, we create each product according to original designs that celebrate the heritage of the craft. Marrying retro and modern style, our durable leather goods will stay with you through a lifetime of sophistication.
