I am a sashiko artist called Radhouse.
To feel healing in your daily life,
I make sashiko accessories for everyday use.
Sashiko is a traditional Japanese embroidery technique that has a long history.
By repeating simple straight stitches, various patterns can be created.
At radhouse, we believe in creating pieces that allow you to enjoy the beautiful stitches of sashiko, and pieces that are durable and can be used for a long time.
"Creating exciting works"
Radhouse's works are characterized by their colorful use of colors.
There are simple works and pop works,
I strive to create artwork that is soothing, exciting, and makes people want to pick it up.
"Attention to usability"
It's good that items that you use repeatedly every day, such as coasters and placemats, are easy to clean.
Radhouse products are made with a focus on comfort. The fabric used is a Japanese-made dungaree cotton-polyester blend.
It has the characteristics of being wrinkle-resistant, durable, and quick-drying.
It absorbs water droplets from cups and does not easily become worn out even with daily washing, making it easy to care for on a daily basis.
All our pieces use adhesive interlining, so the sashiko stitching is less likely to fray and you can enjoy using it for a long time.
{Making effective use of scraps, SDGs}
As part of the SDGs, we are creating works using scraps.
We devise designs that make use of the scraps that inevitably result when creating pieces, creating new value in sashiko works.
