The founder, who loves matcha himself, experienced while living overseas that the matcha being sold around the world was not matcha due to its color and taste, and his desire to deliver genuine, high-quality matcha to the world. After returning to Japan, he moved to Wazuka Town, one of Kyoto's major tea producing areas, and spent the busy season there, before moving his base to Osaka in 2019 and starting with the trade name MATCHABOY.
