Bags of Mana Kaban, hand-made one by one by mana, the bag creator, are made from fabrics used in kimonos.
Traditional Japanese kimono are rather hard to wear and maintain. By combining such kimono fabrics with fashionable materials such as genuine leather, canvas, furs and laces, Mana Kaban brings kimono to life in a new form – bags and pouches that can be casually used in everyday life.
Mana Kaban is evolving over time. One of characteristics of Mana Kaban pouches is that they can be used in a combination with bags by attaching them to your bags with Mana Kaban’s leather straps or any other chain straps. This feature was actually born from a customer’s voice.
The recent developments of the brand includes the launch of an accessory line, made from small pieces of kimono fabric that are cut out from the fabrics used in bags. Accessories such as earrings and hair elastics are now sold under “Tiny kimono pieces reuse series”.
