[Reason for price change]
The fabric for the straw hat is made by hand-twisting yarn spun from hemp by craftsmen.
We also use hand-woven linen fabric.
Demand for hats has decreased due to the coronavirus pandemic, and fabric production has stopped.
Now that the craftsmen are no longer working and the coronavirus has ended, it has become difficult to produce fabric.

It's really unfortunate, but as soon as the current fabric runs out, we will no longer be able to produce straw hats.
Nowadays, hemp itself and the cultivation area are decreasing worldwide, making it a valuable resource.
I had secured hemp fiber and had it woven for kubomi.
I have nothing but gratitude to the craftsmen.

In order to use the precious fabric that is now scarce,
This decision was made in a hurry before this summer gets into full swing.

It is difficult to predict when a hat will be discontinued depending on how quickly it sells.
