In 2007, I accidentally noticed a small green guitar on the wall of the instrumental display that my father had run for more than 20 years.
It is smaller than a normal guitar; the guitar has six strings, but it has only four strings. It shows that there is no idea how long it has been there, I always regard it as an ornament or a toy. But one day it suddenly caught my eye and took it off the shelf to study.
Its string button hangs a tag with the word ukulele. This is the first time I have seen this English word. So I searched for "ukulele" on the Internet. There are very few Chinese pages. There is no information or even some wrong information. For example, what are the four strings of this tone? When at least three different versions are seen.
However, I finally know that it has the Chinese name "Ukli Lili" (some people call it "Uk Lily", "Ukuleri", "Youke", the singing group "Youke Lilin", It is the inspiration from ukulele).
No Chinese textbooks
I started to visit foreign websites and tried to study how to play. Chinese music score, I only found one at the time, but it is not a book to get started. The book that came with the publisher has been yellowed. It turns out that this music sheet has been released in the warehouse of the publishing house.
This thin book is a stock that the publisher has sold for more than 20 years. However, since 2008, more and more people in Taiwan have played Ukulele, and it has become a best seller from stocks. However, since it has already been out of print, after the stocks are sold out, there is no reprint.
Will definitely be popular
While studying the side bombs, I was deeply fascinated by this small instrument. I started writing articles in the "No Name Station" (now "No Name Station" has already closed the station. In a few years, someone will ask what is "no name." Station"), eager to share this instrument called "Ukuleli".

Is Ukulele sold out?
The green uklele is the entry style. I called the importer and wanted to buy better sound quality, but they only imported this grade of uklele, but it has many colors.
So I bought some of it and sold it quickly, so I went back. At that time, the readers of blogs were getting more and more, and the sales speed was getting faster and faster. I simply asked the importer to give me the inventory, and soon there was no "inventory" sold out.
Why do you say "inventory" because I later learned that although Ukuleli has a long history, it is not popular. At the beginning, the importer entered a container to Taiwan and sold it for several years. The final inventory was sold out by me.
At present, all the popular music shops or music classrooms sell uklele, but it is hard to imagine that in 2007 and 2008, I found no less than 100 instruments in order to find uklele, not only did not sell, many instruments The boss has never heard of the instrument "Ukuleli".
I have been chasing the goods, the importer's business, replying to me will come in a few months. A few months later, I asked again, he told me that I would come in a few months... I waited for 8 months, and the well-known company in the musical instrument industry was disbanded...
The birth of KOYAMA
So I decided to find a manufacturer to produce, looking for a long time, only found a small manufacturing plant in Taichung, because the production of Ukuleli is a labor-intensive industry, large (good technology) Ukulele manufacturers have long been Moved to the mainland.
The output and quality of the small factory did not meet my needs. Later, through the introduction of the boss who produced the string button, I finally realized that I found a good quality foundry, so KOYAMA was born.
Producing a good uklele is simple but hard to do. Because many people are talking about quick success. But I asked KOYAMA that each of Ukuleli's handles are at least naturally dried for more than 180 days. Time is an important factor in producing good sound quality, but it also costs a lot.
After spending a year of repeated discussions and research, I finally produced it in 2008. I have a good-looking Ukulele in my heart. The notes are just the melody footprint, and the talent is the main body of music. I hope that one day, everyone can feel the beauty brought by Ukuleli.
