Factory brand from Kyoto
Using a collection of designs from the Meiji era (1868-1912) in the company's own collection, Inokichi dyes and produces items such as bags and clasps from fabric under the concept of "textiles for everyday enjoyment that only a dyer can produce”.
Inokichi's craftsmanship
Responding to changes in the market through a fusion of inherited craftsmanship and digital technology, hand printing by skilled artisans and on-demand inkjet printing make use of kimono designs from the Meiji era for textiles that can be used in today's everyday life.
Because we are a dyer.
Our textiles are possible only because we are well versed in the difficulties of dyeing and have the skills of skilled craftsmen.
Our textiles feature a wide range of colours and patterns and high quality print quality with good colour reproduction, made possible by the fact that we are a dyeing company that was founded as a yuzen factory in Kyoto and has inherited the yuzen dyeing technique.
Attention to design
The colourful patterns with rich sensibility from the days when kimonos were fashionable everyday wear - a fashionable way to express oneself - and the presence of designs that are more than 100 years old, but do not feel old at all.
The designs from the Meiji era are expressed in a modern way with vivid colours and bold compositions, with the desire to "pass on these wonderful colours and patterns to the present day”.
