Fascinated by the beauty and elegance of leaf vein patterns, I started my journey of leaf vein design in 1960. Leaf veins are beautiful, yet fragile. I studied the method of electroplating to increase the toughness of the veins, keep the beauty of the natural vein patterns, and make them perfect accessories. For more than 50 years, I was engaged in the field of herbal crafts, making impressively handcrafted leave vein accessories. During the period of time, however, all the leave vein jewelry was only two-dimensional. The breakthrough came in 2013. Using the seeds of physalis angulatal, a lantern-shaped delicate plant, I successfully upgraded the leaf-vein craft and created the world’s No. 1 three-dimensional leaf vein jewelry. The work of art won the Selected Work Award in 2013 Taiwan Crafts Competition as well as the Bronze Award in Taichung City 2013 Taichung Cup National Creative Competition.

Still, my search for beautiful plants continued. Last year, while browsing a calendar, an amazingly stunning plant caught my eye--Nicandra physaldides-Colibri di popelaire cmll. Its seed is even more beautiful than the award-winning work of art. Overjoyed, I started my research right away. And the result is presented to you here!
