The Hanano factory is producing in the place called Taimaicho in Okinawa Hokkaido.
It is a town with a population of around 22,000, close to the Sea of Okhotsk.
The town name Takuma is a word originating from the Ainu word "IncarriS" that represents "a hill with a nice view".
Industry such as commercial, agriculture, forestry, wood processing industry, etc. are popular in town.
Currently we are finding possibilities for "parquet work in a new era" with motifs in cold regions such as penguins and bears as motifs, and we are working hard on our daily production. "Parquet work is a much more enjoyable thing, familiar thing."
Based on this concept, I am making daily animal parquet work.
Speaking of parquet work is one of the leading traditional crafts in Japan, and it is created by bringing together traditional patterns such as stripes and trout with trees.
Hakone parquet work is the most famous, and in Hakone Ekiden, the more trophies made of parquet on the winning team are handed over to the earth.
Also as you know, parquet work is very popular as a souvenir for Hakone for overseas people.
The reason why I decided to breathe a liberal wind while paying respect to such parquet work.
Because it was such a feeling.
I would like to encourage young people to feel the beauty and tradition of Japan without feeling formal.
I would like you to feel the wonder of woodwork and the warmth of the tree.
And I want to know the wonders of faraway woodworking town Hokkaido where I was born and raised.
When I thought about these and shape it, many such works were born.
All the details are made of wood.
I do not color it to make use of the texture of "wood".
