I used to be a tourism worker and loved exploring every corner of the world. Later, a new chapter in life began - I became a mother of three children, and my life moved from the airport to home, from a suitcase to a baby bag. And it was during this transformation that I found a new passion and started a journey full of love and creativity - FREMD.
Starting from motherly love, sewing warmth exclusively for children
As an expat mom in Taiwan, I want my children to have unique and warm items. So, I started to make things by myself, using exquisite fabrics from all over the world to sew bags and small items, so that these fabrics with stories behind them can become a part of children's lives. At first, this was just a pure act of maternal love, but unexpectedly, these works attracted the love of many friends, and gave me the idea of turning this passion for handmade crafts into a brand.
FREMD: A handmade brand that connects the world and life
I named the brand FREMD, which means "from abroad" in German. It not only represents myself - a mother from a foreign country, but also symbolizes the soul of this brand: fabrics from all over the world, dedicated to everyone who loves the warmth of handmade products.
FREMD is not just a handmade product, but also a way to connect with the world. I carefully select fabrics from different countries - delicate Linen from Japan, elegant prints from France, traditional batik from Indonesia, vibrant colors from Africa... Each piece of fabric is a microcosm of a culture, and after being handmade, it becomes a unique work that accompanies everyone's life.
