Jhi yu Chen was born in Taipei in 1986. Influenced by his father who also loved photography, he started to use cameras at a very early age. She was first introduced to photography by using a point-and-shoot digital camera. In the 1990s, she began to use a point-and-shoot digital camera. After entering vocational high school, she began to learn about darkroom and mechanical SLR cameras. From then on, I had an indissoluble bond with film camera.
After arriving in the UK, although she started painting and taking photos at the same time, she was influenced by British minimalism, so it became important for her to find the essence, whether it was spiritual or pictorial. That's the level she's concerned about.
During her trip to Europe, in addition to photographing the UK, she also continued to photograph France,Switzerland, Germany, Greece and Spain in the same way. After returning to Taiwan in 2017, she continued
to photograph Taipei in the same way, and even Taiwan. corner.
Although photography is not her main creative activity at present, her creative spirit is to take photos with a mindset that she only sees them when she encounters them.
