This necklace is crafted by connecting ethnic metal parts & bells, clear beads, Mizoram carnelian, Roman glass, and various blue beads & brass. The slightly oversized metal parts, featuring an openwork design, originate from Myanmar or Thailand. They were traditionally used by the Chin or Akha tribes, strung together to form belts. These are vintage pieces, and their weathered texture and unique coloration lend them a captivating, atmospheric quality! (Metal part size: 2.2cm height x 2.7cm width) The bells are from the Kuchi tribe, used historically as decorative ornaments. They are antique items and do not produce sound. The round clear beads are likely antique beads from the Indian subcontinent, possibly from the Naga tribe and dating back to around the 19th century. Their fine, age-related scratches create a beautifully nuanced and atmospheric texture! The orange beads are Mizoram carnelian, passed down from around the 18th century and sourced from Mizoram in eastern India. Their uneven coloration gives them a rich, expressive character! Being old, they show some scratches. The varying shades of color contribute to the stone's distinctive charm. The brass beads, resembling nuts with incised lines, are rare old brass beads from Sulawesi, Indonesia. Approximately 80 years old, they were not for everyday wear but were adorned during Bugis ceremonies. These are likely durian seed motifs. The small, granular beads are brass beads crafted by the Benin people of Africa. The two square golden beads are old Orissa brass, ancient and rare beads from the state of Orissa in India. The elongated beads are Roman glass, dating back to the Roman Empire (27 BCE - 395 CE).
