Masakiyo was a vassal of Minamoto no Yoshitomo.
Minamoto no Yoshitomo broke out with Fujiwara no Nobuyori in 1160 but lost. They fled to Tadashi Nagata in Owari Province. They were welcomed there, but they were traps. Yoshitomo was killed while taking a bath. Masakiyo was drunk and killed.
It seems that it was drawn as a youkai with a grudge in the saddle of the horse on which Masakiyo was riding at that time.
