My mother's handmade knits warmed me through every winter, each piece unique, each inch tailored to fit, and I never thought of them as special. Until I saw my mother's graying hair and the calluses on her fingers, watching her knit piece after piece, only to put them away, I felt compelled to do something for her. To prevent the creations she poured her heart into from being hidden away in boxes. With my modest efforts, I've built a small haven for my dearest mother.
