Vintage cobalt blue mug from 1960, blue is the characteristic color of Betschdorf pottery
This cobalt blue is the only color that can withstand the high temperatures of salt stone firing.
The bottom is marked "Grès D'Alsace" - "Stoneware of Alsace"
The black part inside the cup is blue salt glaze and is in excellent condition.
