Due to its natural tanning process, each piece of leather features unique tones and patterns, ensuring every strap possesses its own distinct character. **Leather Lining** The lining of the strap is also made from "Buttero" vegetable-tanned leather from the same Conceria Walpier tannery. As the lining is in direct contact with your skin, we exclusively use natural, undyed "Buttero" leather for this layer. **Strap Thickness** The strap is approximately 2.5 mm thick; it will adapt and conform to your wrist after a few days of wear. **How to Distinguish Vegetable-Tanned Leather** Rooted in centuries of craftsmanship, vegetable-tanned leather offers a unique appearance and unparalleled durability. Because this tanning process is time-consuming, less automated, and requires highly specialized artisans, the production cost is significantly higher, making it less commonly used. Vegetable-tanned leather accounts for only 20% of global leather production, while chrome-tanned leather makes up the other 80%. While it can be difficult for the inexperienced to distinguish by sight alone, you can always trust your nose: genuine vegetable-tanned leather emits a rich, distinct leather aroma. Faux leathers and those produced via other tanning methods typically lack this characteristic.
