White Glaze and Flowing Light Blue Square Mug

White clay, admired for its rustic texture and fine grain. After being shaped into a simple, square mug, it's coated all over with a lustrous white glaze, followed by a layer of light blue glaze. To enhance the warm, earthy feel characteristic of pottery, a touch of amber glaze is also applied around the rim. During firing, the glazes melt and blend, creating flowing patterns. Compared to round mugs, its wider base gives it a slightly heavier feel, but this also provides excellent stability, allowing it to be placed securely on your desk even while you work. Perfect for coffee, cafe au lait, milk tea, or hojicha lattes. It's also suitable for hearty soups like potage or minestrone. Enjoy a moment of cozy relaxation with your favorite beverage or dish. Each piece is handcrafted in my home studio, equipped with a small electric kiln and a potter's wheel. Every step, from kneading the clay to shaping, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing, is done by hand. While mass production isn't possible, each mug possesses its own unique character, inviting you to appreciate its individuality. The item you receive will be the one shown in the product images. The base of the mug will be sanded smooth for a comfortable feel against surfaces. I continuously explore various glazes and clays, seeking the best combinations to create pottery in a diverse range of colors and shapes. This waterproofing process requires 2-3 days, hence our shipping timeframe of 5 days from order placement.
