Due to the high altitude, water boils at a lower temperature. In the early morning, as the sun ascends, wool items are first soaked in melted plateau snow before being heated to a boil. As the sun sets in the evening, the woolens are then air-dried under the moonlight. This intricate process not only removes impurities but also causes the wool to shrink, resulting in denser fibers.
