His four published calligraphy books (Kaishu, Xingshu, Fenshu, Yanti) were essential resources for every Taiwanese sign shop and for artisans creating stenciled lettering (hollow characters) for spray painting. For example, the familiar "No Parking" stencils are derived from Liu Yuan-Hsiang's Kaishu script. This card design draws inspiration from Liu Yuan-Hsiang's "Commercial Vocabulary: Fenshu," incorporating the practice frames used in calligraphy. This not only adds a playful element of learning calligraphy but also evokes the nostalgic streetscapes of old Taiwan through Master Liu's distinctive lettering.
