Driftwood & Candle Nut Wind Chime

Driftwood & Seed Art Creation Wind Chime: The butterfly on the left is crafted from bamboo, exuding natural elegance. The taller fruit on the right is from the Couroupita guianensis tree. Its center is hollow, making it suitable for holding dried flowers or acting as a pen holder. The Lagerstroemia speciosa and Sapium sebiferum shown inside the fruit in the photo are placed there. To its right is the Eucalyptus citriodora, also hollow in the center. Its exterior resembles a bell, hence its common name "Bell Fruit." When inverted, it looks like a vase. Silver Oak has placed a small glass bottle inside, which can hold a bit of water, allowing fresh flowers or plants to be displayed, bringing a different kind of emotion to the entire piece. The fruit directly below is the Candle Nut, which resembles a heart on the outside and is hard in texture. Its floral language means "a steadfast heart." Creating with Candle Nuts is very time-consuming. The seeds must be thoroughly cleaned, then sawn open, and the kernels meticulously scooped out with tweezers. Each one takes over half an hour to create, before finally drilling holes and attaching the cord. When the pieces gently collide, they produce a beautiful and deeply healing sound.
