Afghanite and Garnet Necklace. The central Afghanite main pendant measures 12x8mm, and the garnet drop is approximately 8x5mm. The small silver flakes, chain, and clasp are all 925 silver, and the internal wire is German steel wire. The current total length of the necklace is 40cm, with an optional 5cm extension chain. This Afghanite mini-pendant was a rare impulse purchase for me 😆 I've always loved the blue hues of the lapis lazuli family. Afghanite from similar origins often coexists with lapis lazuli or sodalite, and its colors can vary widely from deep blue to blue-green. However, within similar tones, Afghanite possesses a subtle translucence that lapis lazuli or sodalite lack, which is precisely what captivated me about these little stones. For this series of Afghanite short necklaces, I personally selected individuals that particularly appealed to me to be the protagonists. Among them, this deep blue pendant, closest to lapis lazuli, reveals subtle, layered textures upon closer inspection. It resembles the ancient ultramarine brick adhered to the exterior walls of a venerable temple, carrying the deep blue of wind and time, which has not faded but deepened. To complement it, I paired it with a classic red garnet drop for striking contrast. The delicate silver segments and the stylish silver chain, catching the light as it turns, form a path of pilgrimage, creating an enduring piece for your chest and neck.
