Teacher Nakamura, a bit shy yet exceptionally graceful, has retired from the ranks of kimono artisans. With his excellent taste and skill, he selects premium kimono fabrics to create these unique clasp purse designs. - ◾️ The [Black Cat Series] is designed with cats as inspiration: Teacher Nakamura is meticulous about the materials used for his clasp purses. He specially selects 100% "Tango Chirimen" premium kimono silk as the fabric for the purse, then dyes it black. The golden lines are meticulously applied and adhered with gold leaf, stroke by stroke, by hand. The lining is always a different, unique combination. (This level of detail is almost driving myself and the teacher crazy...) With its playful and lively eyes, paired with a classic, elegant shape, you'll fall in love with it, whether you're a cat lover or not. ------ The spirit of "issho kenmei" (dedication to one's work) is fully evident in the details and material selection of the work.
