Celine Vintage Macadam Brown Pouch Bag - Mini (⁎⁍̴̛ᴗ⁍̴̛⁎), 100% Authentic Pre-owned!
The popularity of monogram patterns has truly reached new heights in recent years, becoming unavoidable even for those who don't typically buy pre-owned items!
When it comes to monograms, LV is undoubtedly the most widely recognized. However, CELINE's monogram actually predates LV's!
In the fashion world, who came first isn't really that important. Look at how LV, despite debuting later, has dominated the monogram scene for so many years and remains strong.
Furthermore, CELINE has long been acquired by the LVMH group, so... honestly, who produced it first isn't truly significant...
Although CELINE's monogram is considered a veteran, it's only in recent years, with the reintroduction of vintage-inspired designs, that it has gained widespread recognition...
In essence, every brand has its own monogram pattern, much like their logos. It simply comes down to which monogram you prefer.
CELINE's monogram dates back to the 1870s. It was later discontinued for a considerable period, and only recently, with the arrival of a new creative director, has it been revived.
Before its revival, the CELINE monogram was a subtle gem in the pre-owned market, featuring a classic pattern, a variety of bag styles, and affordable prices. Sadly, those days are past.
Once the new collection was released, the prices of virtually all monogram bags began to soar, with bag shapes that closely resemble the new designs seeing particularly dramatic increases.
Within vintage monograms, there are roughly four color variations: white flower, beige flower, black flower, and brown flower. The most common are brown and beige flowers.
Black flowers are rarer (personally, I'm a big fan of black flowers), and white flowers are the most difficult to find (due to the challenges of preserving white, they are rare).
Many individuals who have never purchased pre-owned items before have entered the vintage world because of these monograms! When you compare them, you truly see why "new is not as good as old."
I believe Celine's monogram perfectly embodies the saying "new is not as good as old." The difference in the intricate detail of the pattern alone is striking.
The monogram pattern in the new designs has been enlarged, but the edges appear noticeably blurred (perhaps by design!?).
With the old-style monograms, even using a magnifying glass, you won't find any obvious blurry edges. Of course, this is also due to the different eras and design requirements.
In recent years, the pattern designs of various brands have leaned towards enlarging and emphasizing them further. It's either a large LOGO or a large brand name.
Regardless, I simply prefer the finer, more detailed arrangement and exquisite pattern of the older designs (and smaller patterns are easier to style with outfits).
Another significant advantage of the older monogram designs is their excellent water resistance! The monogram leather has a coating that offers light protection against splashes and stains.
Minor rain (heavy downpours are another matter... stay indoors during heavy rain and don't venture out with your bag!) or accidental splashes can be easily wiped away with a paper towel or cloth!
So, if I need to go out on a rainy day, I'll casually grab a monogram bag and go. You don't have to worry too much about being rough with monogram leather (though extreme force is still not advised)!
For everyday use or for those who tend to be a bit more carefree, monogram bags are a great choice because they are truly convenient. They pair effortlessly with a simple T-shirt and jeans.
Celine is now part of the LVMH group, so the new designs we see have a unified and corporate feel.
There's a "urban legend" that everyone who buys pre-owned bags must have a Celine in their collection because they offer such a wide variety of vintage styles, making it unlikely to encounter duplicates.
(Personally, I feel that new designs simply cannot compete with vintage styles due to the significant differences in craftsmanship and material quality. You can easily find complaints online about the poor quality of new items from major brands...)
⚐⚑˒˒ The bag is in excellent condition, almost like new. This is a highly sought-after entry-level CELINE pre-owned bag, and it's the mini size!
This is a makeup pouch style that can be used as a clutch or carried with a strap, as it has added D-rings for attaching a shoulder strap.
The opening is a kiss-lock frame with internal structure, so the bag maintains its shape and doesn't collapse. It's very convenient for accessing items!
The tag on the front of the bag is not the most common Triomphe logo, but a simple leather patch with the CELINE text! This style is less common.
The exterior leather on the front, back, and bottom of the bag has no scratches, scuffs, or cracks. The bottom, sides, and four corners are intact, with no signs of wear or peeling. There is absolutely no wear, peeling, or discoloration, and even the very tips of the corners are perfectly preserved! The zipper pull is genuine leather with minimal signs of use.
The zipper operates smoothly and normally. The small golden triangle is engraved with "celine," adding a touch of exquisite detail.
The interior leather lining is clean, with no aging or stickiness. It has two small compartments with minor signs of use, giving it a natural vintage feel.
Overall, the bag is in great condition with minimal signs of wear. It's a rare find, especially with the current favorable exchange rate for the Japanese Yen, making the price very attractive.
The mini size is harder to find, and while small, its capacity is surprisingly practical, fitting a phone, a short wallet, and mini sanitizing products!
Please note that this item was originally a makeup pouch and has been modified with added D-rings to be used as a shoulder bag or crossbody bag. A gold-tone chain is included.

The main reason I love pre-owned bags is that the leather quality from older eras is superior to that of current new items.
Most pre-owned items from the past were handmade, crafted with the warmth of human touch rather than machines.
The craftsmanship of artisans at major brands is many times more meticulous than that of machines; every step is exquisitely detailed!
However, most processes today are now machine-made and then assembled by hand. Machine-made components lack the same level of detail.
The most direct way to see this is by comparing the truly intricate monograms of older vintage pieces with the recently reissued monogram styles from various brands. The level of detail in the monogram patterns alone is completely different. If you love monograms, you should definitely look for pre-owned items! Truly!
In terms of style, older designs were generally simpler, timeless, and enduring. Many current new designs are actually reissues of older styles.
However, new items are priced higher than their vintage counterparts, and new designs are typically created by adding to or modifying older styles.
Ultimately, the designs become more complex than the older versions. I believe as we grow older, we all come to understand one thing: the simpler, the more enduring!
The material quality of older items is also superior to new ones. Anyone who understands leather can tell; the materials used in new items are mostly inferior to older ones.
This is primarily because the cost of high-quality raw materials is too high and their availability is limited today. Additionally, many brands had very high standards for their finished products back then.
The difference between new and old can be most easily seen in the hardware. The hardware on many new items oxidizes and discolors after just one or two years of use,
but this is rarely the case with older items. Besides the use of premium materials and meticulous techniques, the hardware from earlier eras was plated with real K gold!
Therefore, even vintage bags produced as far back as the 60s and 70s still have gleaming hardware today!
Among the new items available now, to my knowledge, none of the brands use K gold for their hardware.
Many people say that vintage bags are a form of alternative investment, rarely depreciating and often appreciating in value.
This is because the number of pre-owned bags in good condition on the market is steadily decreasing; with each passing day, there are fewer available. Consequently, prices only continue to rise.
Furthermore, certain brands periodically increase their prices, and each increase drives up the prices in the pre-owned market.
Add to this the recent trend of Korean and Japanese celebrities favoring vintage items. Once a particular style is seen on a celebrity, its price can skyrocket instantly.
Alternatively, if a brand releases its own modified reissue, the price of that style, and even similar ones, will surge.
Therefore, vintage is truly a case of "buy early, enjoy longer; buy late, pay more" (this isn't an advertising slogan... it's a truth in the pre-owned world...).
This is based on personal experience; I regret not entering the pre-owned market earlier for many series, as I can no longer find them, or if I do, the price is astronomical and unaffordable...
As an extra gift with your pre-owned bag order, I'll include some leather care oil (ᐢ.ˬ.ᐢ). I use it myself, so I'll portion some into a small container for you.
Apply a small amount to genuine leather for cleaning and to enhance its luster, but you don't need to apply it after every use. Just do it periodically.
I usually do it when I'm organizing my closet at the change of seasons (which makes each seasonal change a big project... |||).
The leather on pre-owned bags is already excellent. As long as you don't use them roughly and store them properly, they can easily last another ten years and be passed down to your daughter!
I collect every pre-owned bag because I love it, so I hope you will too and that you'll preserve it for years to come ☪︎ *.。
☾︎.*·̩͙ If you're interested in purchasing, please feel free to message me with any questions. I'm looking for customers who appreciate and understand pre-owned items ⸜❤︎⸝.
