These are upcycled Arita ware SDGs jewelry featuring Kintsugi. Broken or chipped pottery, no longer in use, is repurposed and adorned with Kintsugi to be reborn as accessories. This piece is crafted using a modern, simplified Kintsugi technique. Unlike traditional Kintsugi which uses natural lacquer from the urushi tree, this method uses adhesive for bonding. The Kintsugi parts are made with urushi (a lacquer manufactured by a company, not raw urushi) and gold powder (brass powder, pearl powder), with UV resin also used for reinforcement.
