This work depicts a lily blooming in the workshop garden on a bell-shaped lid.
You can enjoy the gorgeousness, Japanese beauty, and seasonal feel with the patterns.
This piece is made from a lid made on a potter's wheel, carefully carved using the thin technique of Kyoto Kiyomizu ware, and finished with a light finish. The inside is coated with black glaze so that what's inside stands out, and the outer glaze is lightly coated with a uniquely formulated glaze. The lilies are hand-painted and colored little by little, then fired repeatedly to complete them. We also carefully fit the lids together.
The items inside don't dry out easily and don't absorb moisture, so they're perfect for outdoor meals by serving pickled vegetables, konpeito containers, rice, etc. You can also use it to burn incense or to store small items.
This is a piece that would make a great gift for a loved one.
