Loewe Nappa shoulder chain bag - black (⁎⁍̴̛ᴗ⁍̴̛⁎), 100% authentic pre-owned, handmade in Spain circa the 80s-90s! The leather is Loewe's signature Nappa, the finest grade of leather! The entire handbag is incredibly, incredibly soft! Loewe is my favorite brand, but I personally feel the quality of leather in their recent products has declined somewhat. Perhaps it's due to a shift in market positioning and the addition of new elements. New products tend to have a thicker, heavier leather. Once you've touched an older piece, you'll understand. The texture of new products is completely different from vintage pieces of the past. The Nappa lambskin from the old days is truly as smooth as a baby's skin (I sound like a pervert...|||||). When I first started buying pre-owned bags, I was afraid of encountering fakes. But Japanese pre-owned stores told me that Nappa lambskin products cannot be faked. You can tell the authenticity of this leather by touch alone, because its lightness and softness are impossible for imitation leather and synthetic leather to replicate! Only genuine Nappa can achieve this level of softness! No exaggeration, it's the softest I've ever felt, surpassing all other leathers! In fact, the bags I use most often for daily work are usually Loewe. I only use the beautiful bags for holidays. This is because Nappa lambskin is so soft, light, and thin. Its minimal weight means there's absolutely no burden when using it! For daily work, where you use the bag for extended periods, the bag's own weight is crucial. Otherwise, you'll be tired all day and still have to carry a heavy bag after work... Besides the beautifully understated embossed logo on the bottom right, this bag also features a striking gold chain! Loewe rarely offers chain bags. Black is the ultimate versatile color, perfect for everyday outings, dinners, or even work. It complements both casual and chic styles effortlessly! Because the lambskin itself is so light, even with four sets of chains as the shoulder strap, it's not heavy! I've sold this style before (in different colors). Besides skirts, I personally highly recommend pairing it with slim-fit trousers; it looks surprisingly good! ⚐⚑˒˒ The bag's condition is fair. The exterior is stunning, but the interior is not in great shape. This is why the price is affordable and offers high value. The front and back of the bag are nearly flawless, with minimal signs of use. There is no peeling or wear, and no obvious scratches. The bottom and edges of the bag are very clean, with no peeling/wear. Only the very tips of the corners show very slight wear from use. The zipper is smooth, and the zipper pull is clean with no oxidation or loss of gold plating. There is a minor scuff on the leather near the zipper that is not noticeable unless you look closely. The gold chain hardware shows absolutely no oxidation or loss of gold plating. All four gold chains on the front and back are a brilliant, eye-catching gold. The circular hardware connecting to the bag body is also a rich gold, with no oxidation or loss of gold plating, and features the Loewe engraving. The shoulder strap is made of Nappa lambskin, which is also soft and very comfortable to wear. The strap itself shows only very minimal signs of use, with no specific flaws. Essentially, the exterior of the entire bag is absolutely beautiful. The leather is in pristine condition with a natural sheen, full of luster (and it's already very lustrous even before conditioning)! The interior is leather-lined, and due to the previous owner's less-than-ideal storage, there is some common pre-owned bag stickiness along the edges, affecting about 1/3 of the interior. Therefore, I've specially ordered a custom-made inner bag to use over the lining. This inner bag is made of lightweight, waterproof nylon and can be removed for cleaning. The inner bag also helps maintain the bag's shape, preventing it from collapsing whether in use or storage. The entire bag is made of soft lambskin. Overall, the main flaw is the interior issue, which is why it's priced more affordably, offering great value! From the outside, it looks almost unused. When worn, the entire bag is full of luster and looks very new. Most pre-owned items from the past were ✦ handmade, crafted with the warmth of human hands before the age of machines. The craftsmanship of artisans at major brands is many times more meticulous than machines; every step is exquisitely detailed! However, most processes today are machine-made and then assembled by hand. Machine-made parts lack the same level of detail. The most direct way to see this is to compare the genuine monograms of vintage pieces with the reissued monogram patterns of recent years. The level of detail in the monogram patterns alone is completely different. If you love monograms, look for pre-owned items! Truly! In terms of style, older designs were generally ✦ simpler, timeless, and enduring. Many current new designs are actually reproductions of older styles. However, new models are priced higher than older ones. Furthermore, new designs are usually based on older styles with added or altered elements. Ultimately, the designs become more complex than the older models. I believe as you grow older, you understand one thing: the simpler, the more enduring! The quality of materials in older models is superior to newer ones. Anyone who understands ✦ leather can see that the materials used in new models are mostly inferior to older ones. This is mainly because the cost of high-quality raw materials is too high and supplies are scarce today. Additionally, many brands had very high standards for finished products back then. The difference between new and old can be most easily seen in the ✦ hardware. The hardware on many new models oxidizes and discolors after just one or two years of use, but this is rarely the case with older models. Besides the use of high-quality materials and meticulous techniques, hardware from earlier eras was plated with genuine K gold! Therefore, even vintage bags produced as early as the 60s and 70s still have sparkling hardware today! Among the brands I know, none of the new models available today use K gold for their hardware. Many people say that vintage bags are a form of alternative investment. They rarely depreciate and often appreciate in value. This is because the number of pre-owned bags in good condition on the market is decreasing, and they become rarer with each passing day. Thus, they only become more expensive. Moreover, certain brands increase their prices periodically, and each increase drives up the pre-owned market price. Additionally, with the recent popularity of vintage items among Japanese and Korean celebrities, the price of a particular style can skyrocket once a celebrity is seen with it. Or, if a brand releases its own modified reissue, the price of the same or similar styles will increase dramatically! Therefore, vintage is truly a case of "buy early, enjoy early; buy late, pay more" (this isn't an advertising slogan... it's the truth in the pre-owned world...). This is based on personal experience; I regret not getting into certain collections earlier... I can't find them, and even if I could, the price is astronomical and unaffordable... As an extra gift with pre-owned bag orders, I include leather care oil (ᐢ.ˬ.ᐢ). I use it myself, so I'll give you a small portion in a container. Apply a small amount to the genuine leather for cleaning and to add moisture, but you don't need to do it after every use. Just periodically. I usually take the opportunity to condition them when I'm organizing my closet at the change of seasons (so each season change is a big project...|||). The leather of pre-owned bags is already excellent. As long as you don't use them roughly and store them properly, they can easily last another ten years to be passed down to your daughter!
